Trip 3
Pace MacGill Gallery
32 E 57th Street
One of the works that caught my attention was by Ken Kitano. In his work he decided to layers a variety of photographs creating an effect of motion and time. The bodies of the people photographed is blurry but the faces appears to keep the same emotion. This kind of work reminds me of war and identity. The darkness of the pictures made me think of victims of the disastrous events of war. the overlapping of image after image is really powerful and subtle at the same time.

The faces in the characters shows discomfort. The eyes of each image merge into one solid  pair of eyes creating the effect as if they were looking at the viewer and trying to communicate.
